With the global demand for renewable energy increasing, flow battery energy storage technology has gained widespread attention as an efficient, safe, and environmentally friendly storage solution. Recently, Anhui Tenglong Pump Valve Manufacturing Co., Ltd. successfully won a bid for a large-scale flow battery energy storage project, providing a batch of heavy-duty fluorine-lined magnetic pumps that meet API 685 standards. These magnetic pumps will be used in key liquid transportation sections of the storage system, ensuring its efficient operation.

Ⅰ.Customer Requirements

The flow battery energy storage project had stringent requirements for pump equipment, including:

High Reliability: The equipment must operate stably over the long term, minimizing downtime to ensure the continuous efficiency of the storage system.

Corrosion Resistance: The pump body must have excellent corrosion resistance due to the corrosive nature of the medium used in the flow battery system.

Compliance with API 685 Standards: The project required all equipment to fully comply with the internationally recognized API 685 standards for magnetic pump design and manufacturing.

High Performance: The pumps needed to achieve a flow rate of 200m³/h and a head of 32 meters to meet the high-load transportation needs of the system.
