Recently, Tenglong Pumps and Valves successfully delivered a batch of IH stainless steel centrifugal pumps equipped with Plan53A flushing solution. This batch of products will be used in the organic solvent delivery system of a large domestic chemical company. This delivery once again demonstrates Tenglong Pumps and Valves' core technical strength in the field of high-end pump and valve customization.
Plan53A is a flushing solution designed for double-end mechanical seals in API 682 standard. Its technical features and applicable working conditions are as follows:
Pressurization method and structure
The barrier fluid is supplied from an external tank which is pressurized with an inert gas (usually nitrogen) and the pressure is controlled by an external gas regulator.
The tank has a built-in coil cooling system to control the temperature of the isolation liquid, and is equipped with pressure and liquid level alarm devices to facilitate leakage monitoring.
Applicable working conditions
1.Toxic, harmful or flammable media (such as vinyl chloride, light hydrocarbons, etc.) require complete isolation of leakage scenes.
2.Corrosive media, isolation fluid can prevent process fluid from directly contacting the sealing end face and extend the sealing life.
3.For high-temperature fluids, the tank's built-in coil cooling system can effectively reduce the temperature of the isolation fluid and prevent the sealing end face from coking or vaporization failure due to high temperature.
4.For media that are easily polymerized or oxidized, the cooling function can slow down the chemical reaction of the media in the sealed chamber.
5.Dirty media containing impurities or particles should avoid direct contact with the sealing surface.
6.In scenarios where high pressure stability is required, the storage tank is pressurized with an inert gas (such as nitrogen) to ensure that the isolation liquid pressure is always 0.14~0.17MPa higher than the medium pressure. However, it should be noted that when the system pressure exceeds 2.0MPa, the gas may dissolve into the isolation liquid, resulting in an increased risk of leakage.
The core advantage of Plan53A lies in its simple and reliable pressurization system and cooling capacity, making it the preferred solution for sealing medium- and low-pressure, low-risk media, but its design needs to balance pressure control and gas dissolution risks. In practical applications, it is necessary to select an appropriate cooling and monitoring solution based on the media characteristics, operating pressure and temperature to ensure the long-term stability of the sealing system.
