Customized Stainless Steel Centrifugal Pump with PLAN11 Flushing Scheme

Tenglong Pump & Valve has customized and supplied stainless steel centrifugal pumps matching the PLAN11 flushing scheme for customers. After multiple rounds of strict inspections and systematic commissioning, the products have been officially delivered and smoothly transported to the project site. This customized product fully meets the actual working condition requirements of customers, and will provide efficient, stable and reliable core support for the fluid transportation process in their production.

For this cooperation, the customer put forward strict requirements on pump corrosion resistance, sealing stability and heat dissipation capacity. After research and demonstration, Tenglong’s technical team determined to customize a stainless steel centrifugal pump with an API standard PLAN11 self-flushing scheme, achieving precise matching between pump performance and working condition requirements.

As the core highlight of this product, the customized PLAN11 flushing scheme provides all-round protection for the pump sealing system. As a type of self-flushing scheme, PLAN11 is mainly used for flushing built-in single-end face seals. Its core principle is to draw process medium from the high-pressure area of the pump (usually the pump discharge), limit the flow through a restriction orifice, introduce it into the seal chamber to flush and cool the seal faces, and then return the flushing liquid to the pumped fluid through the throat bushing, forming a complete internal circulation system. This scheme does not require additional external flushing medium, which reduces the customer’s operating costs while exerting three core functions efficiently:

1.Quickly remove heat generated in the seal chamber to prevent sealing components from aging and damage due to high temperature;

2.Realize self-venting of the seal chamber and prevent gas or steam from accumulating in the chamber and affecting sealing performance;

3.Increase the pressure and medium boiling point in the seal chamber, effectively prevent evaporation of the pumped fluid, and ensure long-term leak-free operation of the sealing system.

In view of the customer’s working condition of conveying clean medium, Tenglong’s technical team accurately calculated and customized the dimensions of the restriction orifice and throat bushing to ensure the flushing flow rate meets the standard. Meanwhile, the flushing channel design is optimized to avoid medium crystallization and blockage in the channel, further improving the adaptability of the scheme.

Before leaving the factory, the finished products underwent multiple rounds of simulated working condition tests, including sealing performance tests, flushing system circulation tests, flow and head tests and other core items. All performance indicators of the products are fully verified to ensure they fully meet customer requirements and relevant industry standards, eliminating all potential quality risks. At the delivery site, Tenglong’s technical team provided on-site installation guidance, operation training and commissioning services, explained in detail the working principle of the PLAN11 flushing scheme, daily operation specifications and maintenance points to the customer, and assisted the equipment in being put into use quickly.
