Plastic Magnetic Pump Maintenance Steps and Precautions Overview

2024/04/18

Plastic magnetic pumps are common fluid conveying equipment in the industrial sector, widely used in industries such as chemical, pharmaceutical, and petroleum. Due to the corrosive nature of the media transported by plastic magnetic pumps and the harsh on-site environment, higher requirements are placed on the maintenance and upkeep of equipment. This article mainly introduces the precautions and steps for the maintenance of plastic magnetic pumps.

Precautions for Plastic Magnetic Pump Maintenance:

When plastic magnetic pumps are idle for a long time, thorough cleaning and drying of the equipment should be conducted to avoid residual corrosive media causing damage to the equipment.

When conducting maintenance on magnetic pumps, it is necessary to ensure that the equipment is in a shutdown state and the power supply is disconnected. If the equipment needs to be repaired or parts replaced, it is recommended to disassemble the equipment and pipelines and operate on a clean and dry workbench.

When inspecting the lubrication parts inside the magnetic pump, avoid using excessive lubricating oil to prevent oil contamination from causing secondary pollution to equipment components.

When assembling the pump body, the tightening torque of the fastening bolts should be maintained at a certain level. Over-tightening or loosening may lead to poor pump body sealing and affect the normal operation of the equipment.

It is strictly prohibited to run the equipment without load. Real-time monitoring of the equipment operation status and regular inspections should be conducted. In case of abnormal situations, the operation should be stopped promptly for maintenance.

Steps for Magnetic Pump Maintenance:

Disassembly of Plastic Magnetic Pump:

(1) Close the inlet and outlet valves and disconnect the power supply.

(2) Disassemble the inlet and outlet pipelines.

(3) Remove the end cover, isolation sleeve, internal magnetic rotor, and other components.

(4) Drain the remaining medium and clean all parts of the equipment.

Inspection of Plastic Magnetic Pump Components:

Check the appearance and structure of pump body, isolation sleeve, internal magnetic rotor, and other components. If there is wear, deformation, or corrosion, they should be replaced in a timely manner. Check the bearings, magnets, motors, and other components of the plastic magnetic pump to ensure the stability of equipment operation.

Cleaning of Plastic Magnetic Pump:

Clean all parts of the plastic magnetic pump to ensure no residual medium, especially the interior of the pump body and the surface of the isolation sleeve, should be thoroughly cleaned. Use a soft brush and suitable solvent for cleaning, and place them in a ventilated and cool place to air dry. When secondary cleaning is required, attention should be paid to prevent damage to equipment components caused by immersion in strong acids or alkalis.

Reinstallation of Plastic Magnetic Pump:

(1) Reinstall the internal magnetic rotor, isolation sleeve, end cover, and other components in sequence.

(2) Ensure that the components are properly installed to effectively improve the equipment's operational efficiency and sealing performance.

(3) Adjust the connection of the inlet and outlet pipelines to ensure that there is no leakage or magnetic leakage during operation.

(4) Connect the power supply to conduct a trial run and ensure that the magnetic pump operates normally.

Through the maintenance of plastic magnetic pumps, faults caused by long-term operation can be avoided, the service life of equipment can be extended, and the production process can be smoother. During the maintenance of magnetic pumps, it is necessary to strictly follow the correct maintenance steps, address safety issues related to equipment and personnel, ensure timely equipment maintenance, and provide more effective guarantees for our production.
